Senior Sales Manager (m/f/d) for Austria
This position offers the exciting opportunity to actively shape the market entry and explore new business opportunities. The software and data analysis solutions that our client provides offer state-of-the-art technology to customers from different industries, focused on critical infrastructure. To support the growth of the company and further expand operations in the Defence Industry, we are looking for an acclaimed expert with a good network and in-depth understanding of the market.
Your responsibilities
- Exploring new business opportunities with focus on the Austrian Defence Forces
- Sales of complex software products and associated services as a complete solution with responsibility for incoming orders for assigned customers within Central Europe
- Coordination of internal and external stakeholders in campaigns and systematic positioning of the company as a relevant software vendor
- Preparation of offers, management of bid-teams and negotiation of contracts
- Presentation of products and solutions at events with customers, industry and participation in relevant conferences and trade fairs
- Development and maintenance of account plans as part of the sales strategy for Central Europe
- Contributing to product development by providing and processing customer and market information for the relevant departments
- Maintaining and expanding the customer database and reporting ongoing activities to the Vice President Business Development
Your profile
- Successfully completed studies, ideally with a focus on economics or engineering, or Engineering College (HTL)
- Military background or profound knowledge of military processes with operational experience
- At least 7-10 years of experience in sales in the Defence industry as well as proven ability to sell complex systems and solutions
- Established and proven customer and partner network and high customer orientation
- Energetic, results-orientated way of working, strategic thinking and technical affinity
- Strong communication and presentation skills and ability to work in a team
- High degree of willingness to travel (up to 50% within Europe)
