Business Development Manager - Hydrogen Valves (m/f/d)

Purpose of role

  • The BDM is responsible to identify customer and market needs and to translate them into a product definition and required portfolio
  • The product definition enables R&D and Engineering to develop the product range, and operations to build suitable production and service set-up to meet key KPIs such as quality, lead time and cost
  • The BDM leads the initial go-to-market workstream, identifying early strategic customers globally in target markets, sets up first sales channels and oversees the initial market activities
  • Builds regional strategies for product together with Regional Units
  • The function enables Sales to sell and promote the product

Responsibilities

  • Vision and Market Drivers: Identification and monitor of relevant market trends, technology trends, customer needs, competitor offerings
  • Identification of Key Players and use cases for H2 valves in H2 compression and mobility applications. Searcg for other applications. Business development for Key Accounts, and support of regional Sales teams
  • Product Specification: Identification of customer requirements (technical, commercial, regulatory) and translation into requirement spec. for R&D, engineering and operations. Scoping & Costing for attractive offering, project management of early field instzallations & Customers, supports supplier development
  • Product Standards: Identification of applicable industry standards (global & regional) and ensure standards are reflected in the final product offering (in alignment with Engineering)
  • Enablement: of regional sales organization as well as selected customer trainings
  • Sales and Marketing Support: Quoting Tools & Standards, Campaign Management (definition, content), Customer visits & Trade Shows, Publications and conference appearances
  • Portfolio Management: Product positioning and pricing, Product lifecycle management and future product offerings

Requirements

  • Ideally professional expertise in switching and control valves business, armatures, or check valves
  • Technical background required
  • Commercial and business development expertise
  • Fluent in English language
  • Mobility to travel max. 25% of time
